    Bournemouth 7s Festival is the Largest Sport and Music Festival in the World and takes place every year on the last Bank Holiday weekend in May.

     

    Launched in 2008, the Festival has quickly established itself as the Sporting Glastonbury, attracting over 30,000 sports enthusiasts and festival goers.

     

    Festival owners, Diamond Sporting Group are proud to have created a unique event that has made a significant impact on the world’s sporting scene, with 366 teams competing in 2014 and even more expected in 2015.

    A second successive Sell Out, the 2014 Festival attracted over 30,000 sports enthusiasts and music lovers.

     

    The introduction of Hockey 7s, alongside a host of new arenas including the Kopparberg Big Top Dance Tent and the Jägermeister German Beer Tent ensured this was the biggest and best Festival to date.

    The 2013 Bournemouth 7s Festival Sold Out two weeks in advance!

     

    The introduction of Dodgeball to the sporting line-up proved a huge success with teams being made up of dodgeball enthusiasts, groups of friends and sporting celebrities including Former England Rugby Captain Lewis Moody.

    While Bournemouth 7s celebrated it’s 5th year, the 2012 Festival was proud to witness the birth of sister company Viper 10 Sportswear. This was to be the start of a very exciting year for the brand proclaimed as  ‘The Next Generation in Sportswear’.

     

    310 team spaces along with the V.VIP Lounge, VIP Arena and Kopparberg Campsite all sold out in record time!

    Adopting the nickname the ‘Sporting Glastonbury’, Bournemouth 7s 2011 invested heavily in the V.VIP Celebrity Lounge to create a truly memorable experience with hostess service, cocktail barmen, bongo players, themed furniture and decor creating an Ibiza chilled vibe in the day with DJs including Brandon Block cranking the party up into the night.

    Firmly cementing it’s place on the world’s sporting and festival circuit, Bournemouth 7s 2010 was proud to welcome over 4,000 competitors across 266 teams.

     

    The Festival Entertainment was taken to another level with 20 live bands and 10 DJs on the line up including an exclusive set in the VIP Arena by Radio 1’s DJ Spoony.

    An increase in team entries from 96 to over 200 teams made Bournemouth 7s Festival the ‘Largest of its kind in the World’.

     

    With Title Sponsors Nintendo Wii Fit in place, the Festival welcomed many celebrities including British Lions players, England Rugby & Netball Internationals, Irish Rugby Internationals, TV personalities and Gladiators!

    Having seen the growth of the celebrated Dubai and Hong Kong Sevens, the Diamond Sports Events team set about creating a festival which combined great sport with an awesome festival atmosphere

     

    The first ever Bournemouth 7s was born out of an idea which was revolutionary in the UK and set the standard for everything we have done since!
