Autumn Internationals: Week 4 Predictions

With our completely unblemished, incontrovertible, flawless system that has only been let down by England and Argentina so far, here are our 87.5% accurate predictions for this week’s action:

?? Italy vs New Zealand ??
Stadio Olimpico, Rome
Kick-Off  Saturday, 2:00pm

New Zealand are on an agonisingly long losing streak of one, after succumbing 16-9 to an Irish team playing out of their skin. The All Blacks will want to make a statement here and poor Italy are likely in for a trouncing. The kiwis haven’t failed to break 10 points in 7 years, and they’ll be making up for last week’s oversight this week.

New Zealand to win!

??????? Scotland vs Argentina ??
BT Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh
Kick-Off Saturday, 2:30pm

Argentina have held their own so far in the series, having had some really good pockets of play. Scotland however, are coming off the back of a frustratingly narrow defeat at Murrayfield to a spluttering Springboks, and are fielding their seventh different midfield partnership in less than a year. With that said, we see Scotland winning this – but not by much!

Scotland to win!

??????? England vs Australia ??
Twickenham Stadium, London
Kick-Off Saturday, 3:00pm

Australia will arrive at fortress Twickers having won just four of their last 14 games. Their very own jackal fiend, Pocock, has just been ruled out, and they have seemed to lack direction of late. All this suggests just one outcome, however the Wallabies won’t be put down easy. We predict a storming Tuilagi performance off the bench to put the game to bed (but only if he avoids injury for 24hrs)

England to win!

??????? Wales vs South Africa ??
Principality Stadium, Cardiff
Kick-Off Saturday, 5:20pm

We’re going to call this as a game to watch. Wales have delivered good results so far, overcoming Scotland and Australia, and putting 74 passed Tonga. South Africa have warmed up somewhat since their narrow defeat to England in week one, and edged over Scotland last week. We’re going specific with this one…

Wales to win (by 5 points)!

?? Ireland vs USA ??
Aviva Stadium, Dublin
Kick-Off Saturday, 6:30pm

Let us not forget that USA defeated a first tier nation for the first time in nearly 100 years back in June, and have only lost one game in 2018. However, Ireland are world beaters and will likely pick apart these New World contenders with confidence. The sea of green at the Aviva may be reminiscent of St. Patrick’s day in New York for the americans,  but this won’t be faux Irish patriotism – this’ll be the real thing!

Ireland to win!

?? France vs Fiji ??
Stade de France, Paris
Kick-Off Saturday, 8:05pm

We’ll try not to fall into the pretty overused and frankly patronising ‘Fiji will bring physicality to the game’, as they are so much more than a brute force outfit. However we predict a strong performance from Les Bleus and some quality tries from both sides. Another game to watch.

France to win!
