Engaging the local community is vitally important to our team; not just over the festival weekend, but throughout the year. With a dedicated Community Manager we seek to solidify our relationship with local residents & organisations.
Over the festival weekend we open a dedicated community helpline, dispatch roaming litter pickers and station static guards throughout the area to help counteract any impact on the community.
If you have any suggestions on how we can improve, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are lucky to have our festival set within the beautiful Bournemouth area, and are dedicated to ensuring that our events have minimal detrimental impact on the environment as a whole. We continue to work towards greener solutions and are always happy to hear suggestions to help keep Bournemouth 7s Festival green.
If you are looking to reduce your own footprint on the environment, being conscientious of your method of transport to the festival is a good place to start. We have a partnership with Big Green Coaches to provide links to and from the festival, and with organisations across the country to ensure big groups/teams are travelling appropriately.
Health & Wellbeing
With sport being a key element of Bournemouth 7s Festival, Health & Wellbeing are firmly in our DNA. We promote sport and activity through our events and partnerships, as well as providing a platform for likeminded individuals to showcase the benefits of involvement in sport.
There are inherent risk factors with any sporting event or festival, so we pride ourselves in being conscientious and proactive to ensure our players and festival-goers are safe with a dedicated onsite medical centre, team of qualified sports therapists and comprehensive welfare operation
We are very lucky to be in a position to help numerous causes from a variety of local and national charities, including the following:
• Lewis Moody Foundation
• Rugby for Heroes
• Moth In A China Shop
We have now secured our charity partners for Bournemouth 7s 2018, but will be revisiting this in the future for the 2019 festival. Watch this space for further announcements regarding our charity partnerships!
